Call for papers
The global aluminium industry is looking forward to the coming decade with confidence.
Increasing aluminium demand will result in enormous importance being given to the
development of innovative process technologies and plant designs for producing and
processing the metal.
Ever more complex material properties are required and these necessitate a high degree of
technological expertise and the development of special solutions. In future, the focus of new
technological developments for all processes will also be on framework conditions like
resource efficiency and potential CO2 and energy savings.
Greater demands will thus also be placed on the aluminium industry’s technology partners
and equipment suppliers. Besides the supply of plant and machinery, the industry demands
an understanding of the complete process as well as comprehensive systems expertise for
all steps in aluminium’s value chain.
List of topics
The international congress offers suppliers and technology partners to the aluminium producing
and processing industries a broad platform to present and discuss new techniques, processes
or material developments relating to aluminium as a material. The focus will be on all steps in
aluminium’s value chain, such as rolling, extrusion, drawing, casting, forging and downstream
processing, from the production of the metal through to its recycling.
We ask you to send in your proposals for papers about the following topics:
- Machinery and plant engineering
- Measuring and control equipment, sensors
- Heat treatment plants
- Software and simulation
- Recycling and melting technology
- Technologies relating to resource efficiency and energy saving
- Application-oriented process technologies (e.g., forming, joining, surface treatment, machining)
How to send in your documents
In addition to a short abstract, proposals for papers to be presented should include the full name
and address of the author(s) (name, title, address, tel./email). They should be no more than one
DIN A4 page long and in English. The final paper should not be more than 30 pages long including
text and transparencies. Tables and photos are desirable.
The congress Language is English. Papers should generally be written in English. Proposals that
are accepted will be published in the proceedings or on our website.
